Hans C.L. Wiedel

Overview

Hans is a seasoned litigation attorney, building a diverse legal career across multiple fields. He began his journey as a defense litigator at a mid-sized law firm before transitioning to in-house corporate defense. In this role, Hans provided legal counsel and litigated on behalf of the corporation until he was offered an opportunity to work with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). At the SEC, he specialized in investigating corporate fraud, preparing cases for litigation or settlement.

Throughout his career, Hans has gained experience in real estate, contracts, personal injury, insurance and corporate defense, debt collection, landlord-tenant law, and more.

Originally from western Maryland, Hans earned his undergraduate degree at Syracuse University in New York. Before pursuing a legal career, he worked in politics as a legislative aide and campaign advisor in Maryland and Washington, D.C. Hans then joined the United States Army as an Officer, serving six years with two combat tours during the Global War on Terror—one in Iraq and one in Afghanistan—earning a Bronze Star for each. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain.

While stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX, Hans developed a deep appreciation for the state of Texas, which led him to attend law school at the newly rebranded Texas A&M University School of Law in Fort Worth. During law school, he interned in various legal fields and had the privilege of working with the 2nd Court of Appeals in Fort Worth, Texas.

Hans currently resides in Fort Worth, where he enjoys the outdoors as an avid sportsman, taking full advantage of the natural beauty of the great State of Texas.
